I’m really tired of seeing my own work and ESPECIALLY the work of my friends stripped of credit. people are posting free content online for you to look at and enjoy, and if the thing they had to say about it or a link to them is too ugly for your dumb blog, don’t reblog it. I know this is the wild wild west of the internet, but try to respect creators.

I just bought the graphic novel Ghost World by Daniel Clowes. I bought the special edition for 40% off. Pretty sweet. I bought it because I love the movie so damn much, so I’m really looking forward to start reading this. If you’re interested you don’t have to buy the special edition. The regular edition should be much cheaper, but I do recommend you watch the movie if you like indie films! :D

As for the illustration above. That’s on the first page of the special edition. I just thought it was kind of funny and it’s not necessarily representative as the book as a whole, but I couldn’t help but think that I can hardly believe this was written by a man. Who also wrote the screenplay. Most movies about girls are always about meeting some prince charming. Not about girls and their friends.

It’s been over five years since I bought a movie. At one point I had no job and I really needed money, so I sold my film collection. 250 dvd’s gone! I sort of regret it, but now it’s time to start the collection all over again starting with 2005’s The Proposition. I saw this in 06’ and I thought it was awesome! It’s one of those movies that was released in not too many theaters and not a lot of people saw on DVD. I saw it at Best Buy for 6.99 on Blu-Ray. For that little there is no way I can pass up on such an awesome movie that can easily disappear into obscurity and even worst from my memory completely.

So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts. For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists for being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.

Our celebrity obsessed culture may be a joke but breast cancer definitely isn’t - nearly 500,000 people die from it every year. Angelina Jolie’s doctors estimated she had an 87% risk of developing breast cancer and a 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer because she carries the common gene mutation that causes both. Her mother died at the age of 56 after a long battle with cancer as well. My own mother had both breast and ovarian cancer within a couple short years and let me tell you, it’s about the least funny thing in the world to watch someone suffer from.

Valuing someone’s body parts you sexualized over their life and humanity goes beyond sexism, it’s sub-human.

WOW, I can’t believe these guys are acting this way!!! how fucking childish. To care more about someones breasts over their life, just wow…
