The movie doesn’t move like a bullet, I don’t want it to move like bullet, I mean, I want it to move like a bullet when its supposed to and the other times, I just want it to kinda hang out just for a while and thats the whole rhythm of the movie. And the music is very important in that regards, I think it really helps me create that rhythm, we’re really trying to make it like fun and neat and not just a collection of songs, trying to give it a personality. - Quentin Tarantino
I’m finally going to see this tonight. I already bought my ticket! :D
It’s been over five years since I bought a movie. At one point I had no job and I really needed money, so I sold my film collection. 250 dvd’s gone! I sort of regret it, but now it’s time to start the collection all over again starting with 2005’s The Proposition. I saw this in 06’ and I thought it was awesome! It’s one of those movies that was released in not too many theaters and not a lot of people saw on DVD. I saw it at Best Buy for 6.99 on Blu-Ray. For that little there is no way I can pass up on such an awesome movie that can easily disappear into obscurity and even worst from my memory completely.
Derek Cianfrance’s The Place Beyond The Pines has released a cool new poster online, featuring the pared-back silhouette of Ryan Gosling’s ice-cool protagonist…
Going to go watch this tonight. :-)
I just finished reading this today. Good read!
